U.S. Agent for FAA services                         [ MORE INFO ]

As of July 7, 2025 (and since April 2, 2025 for new certificates), FAA airman certificate holders who do not reside in the U.S. must designate an agent on U.S. soil to receive urgent FAA flights.
Find the corresponding regulations here: AC 3-1 - U.S. Agents for Service

An agent is also required to register on MedExpress for a medical certificate (1st, 2nd, or 3rd class medical).

As an FAA flight school based in Europe, Orbifly has been supporting you in all aspects of your piloting life for over 25 years. It's therefore only natural that we offer the OrbiAgent service to meet this regulatory requirement!

✈ This applies to:

⇒ Pilots (Student, PPL, CPL, ATPL)
⇒ Mechanics (A&P and repairmen)
⇒ Flight engineers
⇒ Navigators
⇒ Flight attendants
⇒ Aircraft dispatchers
⇒ Drone (UAS) pilots
⇒ Holders of an FAA medical certificate (required for MedExpress)
⇒ Parachute riggers

Who do not reside on U.S. soil, regardless of their nationality.

✈ What are the steps to register with Orbifly?

Here they are:
  • We provide you with intranet access to enter the personal contact information you wish to be used to send you FAA correspondence (email, address, and telephone number);
  • We assist you with the reporting process on the USAS website;
  • That's it! Simply update your contact information on your Orbifly intranet account when it changes, so our agent always has up-to-date information to contact you if necessary.

✈ Why choose the OrbiAgent service?

More than just a mailbox, Orbifly will be a responsive and knowledgeable contact for all your specific questions about FAA regulations, particularly the specifics related to the mix of US/European regulations and authorities.

We can assist you with any questions you may have when you receive correspondence from the FAA.
As an FAA school based in Europe, we are also available to assist you with your FAA qualifications: Flight Review, endorsements, license conversions, etc.
